East Burke, Vermont is located in an area of the Green Mountains which receives a considerable amount of late season snow. The race trail is used by Kingdom Trails as a Nordic touring center throughout the winter and will be continuously groomed (Thank you Kingdom Trails). Extensive efforts have been made throughout the last three years to meet the needs of high-speed sprint dogs. The trails are hilly, presenting a challenge to dogs and mushers, but all of the technical aspects have been eliminated, and the trails are amicable to high speeds. The trails are well marked and the two gates in the open class are professionally operated. Lastly, the 4-dog trail will be groomed prior to the 2-dog skijoring event, providing these professional athletes with the best possible conditions. Please take a look at the trail map and click on the individual classes to see specific trails.

A classic Northeast course for anyone looking to experience what we have to offer out this way.

It is a beautiful race site and we had a great time. The trail was groomed excellently on Friday and was hard and fast. Mother nature didn't want to cooperate with them and dropped a foot of snow on Saturday, but they worked hard to stay on top of it. It was a great race, the people were very friendly, and we plan to go back. I have never seen such cooperation between an GO and the racers!
